StreamlineLift

Says the Lift is not really a straight 9-speed: it is an easy turnover or hyzer-flip disc that holds up to torque.

“You should try throwing the lift. It’s not really a “straight” 9 speed. But that’s the point. You can have overlap on paper just looking at numbers but you throw”

Latitude 64Grace

Traded for a new Royal Grace (a Kristin Tattar edition) that is so overstable it is borderline unusable for them right now, though it is the nicest-feeling disc they have had.

“It’s the Kristen tattar grace. It’s so overstable it’s borderline unusable for me right now but I look forward to the day I can get some use out of it.”

MVPInertia

Their Proton Inertia turns more than they'd like, but their glow Eclipse one is perfect: straight for a long time with a pushing fade, holds an anhyzer for 375+ ft and gives big hyzer flips for 400+ ft.

“Try the MVP INERTIA in Eclipse plastic. The proton one I have turns more than I’d like but the glow one is so perfect! Straight for a long time with”

MVPTesla

Took an unused 152 g Fission Tesla to a water-heavy course expecting to lose it; it flew dead straight with dependable fade. Calls it easy to throw and easy to hit their line with.

“Thought I'd sacrifice my unused Fission Tesla 152g. It refused to die, dead straight forever with dependable fade. It's a weird Chimera of Fission, light weight and stable/overstable disc but”

InnovaOrc

Recommends a Star Orc with the weight tuned so it can take speed without turning over or fading too hard; with a 350 ft max and 320 ft average they can rip a 168 g Orc fairly straight.

“A Star Orc with weight fine tuned where you can put some speed on it where it doesn't turn over too much, but doesn't fade too hard. I'm like 350”

InnovaBeast

Suggests the Beast as another Innova 10-speed with a very different hand feel from the Gorgon; in their experience it is a little less glidey and a little less flippy than the Gorgon.

“Maybe check out a Beast? It’s another Innova 10 speed, but with a very different hand feel than the Gorgon. In my experience it’s a little less glidey and a”

Latitude 64Gladiator

A right-hander who throws thumbers to get around trees on a left-to-right line says the Gladiator is the only disc they have that does it well; everything else they tried doesn't flop over.

“I am right-handed and throw a thumber when I want to get around trees etc on a left to right line. The only disc I have or have thrown that”

MVPWave

Recommends the Wave and notes it can be flippy depending on weight, run, plastic and arm speed. Their glow Wave is much more stable than their Neutron ones, and a Neutron Wave is one of their farthest backhand flyers.

“Yeahhhh I’m with the people bringing up the Wave. Waves can be flippy though, depending on the weight/run/plastic, as well as your arm speed and manner of throwing. If you”

AxiomAspect

Says the special-edition Aspect was very overstable at first but has beaten in quickly, already showing much less dump at the end. Contrasts it with their Control, which they have thrown far more without it changing much.

“The one I really noticed was the Aspect. The SE vat one they just dropped was stupidly OS for me at first, but it has beaten in fairly fast where”

MVPControl

Just picked up a Halloween Eclipse Control and finds it close to its flight numbers, comparing the pair to a Thunderbird versus a Valkyrie. Uses it on a touch of anhyzer in tailwinds for a gentle flex and on flat hyzers, says in headwinds it flies like a normal Trail, and expects it to get slightly flippier as it beats in.

“I find it to be pretty close to the numbers. It flies similar to a Thundy vs Valk to me. Tail wind I put it on a touch of anny”

MVPTrail

Switched to all MVP, Axiom and Streamline and says the Trail gives them the easiest 370–380 ft ever.

“Trail, easiest 370/380 ever”

StreamlineJet

Found the Jet too flippy and traded it to a friend who loves it; it is probably the friend's farthest-flying disc.

“I also found the Jet to be a bit too flippy. Traded it to a friend who loves it and it’s probably his farthest flying disc. Tho he maxes out around 250’.”

InnovaWraith

A self-described noodle arm who says the Pro plastic Wraith starts flipping after some tree hits; in field tests it gave practically the same lines as their Waves but consistently pushed 30+ ft farther.

“the pro plastic wraith is the wraith for the people. Just sand off any flashing on the bottom rim if it has some, then after a few solid tree hits will start flipping. Field testing against my waves those would”

AxiomFireball

Tried the Fireball in their overstable 9-speed slot; the dumpy way it flexes out got them an ace but was also why it didn't stay in the bag.

“1 Fireball ace. I was trying it out for a while in the overstable 9 speed slot. The dumpy way it flexes out got me the ace, but was ultimately also the reason it did”

InnovaDestroyer

Finds the Destroyer hard to beat as a reliable distance driver: Halo Star when they need it overstable, and Swirly Star has been very good as a bomber.

“Destroyer For a reliable distance driver it is really hard to beat. Need it to be over stable, halo star. Need it to be a bomber, swirly star has been so good”

WestsideSword

Has tried a lot of drivers but always keeps at least one Sword in the bag, in several plastics and stabilities, because it is so nice and mostly straight.

InnovaGorgon

Finds the Halo Gorgon pretty sweet, but once it really breaks in they have to throw it on a lot of hyzer.

“Halo Gorgon is pretty sweet. The issue you'll have is as it really breaks in you're going to have to crank it on”

AxiomInsanity

Their straightest 9-speed is the Insanity: a Fission one hyzer-flips to flat and goes straight forever. They max out around 425 ft with distance drivers.

“My straightest 9 speed is the Axiom (mvp) Insanity. Fission insanity hyzer flips to flat and goes straight forever. I max out around 425ft with distance drivers.”

StreamlineTrace

Likes the Trace in Proton plastic for its feel and says Plasma and Cosmic Neutron fly the same; describes it as basically a Wraith-style disc from Streamline.

“I like the streamline trace in proton plastic for feel, but the plasma and Cosmic Neutron fly the same if you prefer those, it is basically another wraith style disc but from streamline.”

Thought Space AthleticsConstruct

Prefers the Construct to the Gorgon and says it flies more like a -2/2 than its 10/6/-1/2 numbers.

“Only thing similar that I much prefer, is a thought space athletics Construct. 10/6/-1/2. But flies more like a -2/2”

Latitude 64Bolt

Says the Bolt flies forever and gives them bullet-straight shots at any distance; with an arm speed around 54 mph and the right wind, 400 ft is possible for them.

“you might look at a lattitude 64 Bolt. It flys forever and you can get bullet straight shots any distance you want. 13 speed, but my noodle arm speed is only 54+/- and with the right wind 400 ft is”

InnovaTern

Uses a Pro Tern when they want a long straight drive: a 12-speed that is understable with a nice flight, and it feels better in the hand than a Gorgon.

“Give a pro Tern a try, it’s a 12 speed but under stable and has a nice flight. Feels better than the Gorgon and it’s what I use when I want a long straight drive.”

Latitude 64Strive

Recommends the Strive, saying it really goes and that its -1 turn rating makes it sound more stable than it is: thrown flat they get a decent S-curve.

“the Strive might work really well for you! That thing just GOES! -1 on turn is absolutely rating it more stable than it actually is. I'll throw it flat and get a decent S curve out of”

KastaplastÄlva

Notes that K1 Grind plastic is more understable: their K1 Älva bombs while their Grind Älva rolls.

“Keep in the mind, the K1 Grind plastic is more understable for those 2 molds. My K1 Alva bombs, my Grind Alva rolls.”

DiscraftAnax

Has thrown the Control only a few times, enough to see it fills the same slot as their Anax. The Anax started out far too beefy for them but turned into one of their favourite discs as it beat in.

MVPDimension

Owns three Nu-run Dimensions and says they fly like a stable Shryke rather than what the 14.5/5/0/3 numbers suggest; only a Plasma one flies differently for them.

“What I want to know is why my 3 Nu Dimensions fly like a stable Shryke instead of what a 14.5/5/0/3 should fly like. Only my Plasma EM D flies”

Latitude 64Grace

Has a 2022 Tattar Grace that is a beast for their forehand drives and has never thrown it backhand.

“I have a 2022 Tattar Grace that is an absolute beast for my FH drives. I’ve never once even thrown it BH oddly enough.”

Calls the Inertia an underrated driver: less stable than a Trail and a real bomber with an initial left-to-right drift.

“I think MVP Inertia is an underrated driver. Less stable than a trail, really bomb with an initial left to right drift.”

MVPWave

The Wave is their most used driver and they bag two in different weights; hyzer flips are their favourite shot and the Wave is a hyzer-flip machine.

MVPControl

Didn't like the Control at first because it is much beefier than a Trail, but has come to respect it for headwinds, hyzers around corners and flexing around trees. Advises throwing it flat or on anhyzer for distance and never on hyzer.

Keeps coming back to Destroyers even after switching to a full range of Wraiths this summer, because Destroyers fly better for them. Their longest on-course throw with one yesterday was about 380 ft.

“I move away because most people say that Ams would be better off throwing 11 speeds or less. I even swapped to a full range of Wraiths this summer - Champ, duo, and two stabilities of star - but I”

InnovaGorgon

Finds the Star Gorgon terrible in the hand, even though its -2 turn flies beautifully straight at elevation. The feel makes them throw it inconsistently enough that they don't enjoy it.

The Wave is one of their mainstays, but it doesn't fade reliably unless thrown with a bit of hyzer; on any anhyzer it can turn hard to the right for them (RHBH).

MVPControl

A Trail fan who maxes out just over 300 ft hoped the Control would give extra fade at the end of longer drives. Says they can't throw it: it fades much earlier than their Tesla despite being only one speed faster, and wonders if it just doesn't suit their arm.

MVPControl

Throws a Trail 330–360 ft and gets the same distance from the Control by throwing it a little flatter. Says it fades nicely at the end, like a longer Explorer or Teebird.

Had a Control and really wanted to love it but didn't. Compares it with a fresh Neutron Trail, which is a bit overstable until it beats in after a month or two, and calls the Control a slightly more stable new Trail.
