Has a Duo Eagle in their fairway slot that is just killer, and says Duo plastic looks, feels and flies good.
“I haven’t thrown mine yet because I have a Duo Eagle in that slot that is just killer. Duo plastic looks good, feels good, flies”

Has a Duo Eagle in their fairway slot that is just killer, and says Duo plastic looks, feels and flies good.
“I haven’t thrown mine yet because I have a Duo Eagle in that slot that is just killer. Duo plastic looks good, feels good, flies”
Their first Roc3 and first Duo disc, the Rainers Duo Roc3, has been a pleasure to throw: a solid disc for stable approaches.
“It has been a pleasure to throw Rainers Duo Roc3. Its my first Roc3 and Duo mold. Like the effect on Duo flight! Its a solid disc for stable approaches”
Their favourite driver for their first few years was the Tern, basically a 12-speed Valkyrie, and they still use it.
“My favorite driver for the first few years of the sport was the Tern. Basically a Valkyrie that is a 12 speed. I love it”
A forehand player whose Halo Star Mamba took a while to act understable for them, until they got more power and spin and it now turns easily.
“It took me a while to get my halo star Mamba to act understable as well. I’m also a forehand player, and I thought it was broken (literally have a”
Found the Mako3 hard to use at first and still struggles to forehand it; a huge fan of the Hex, saying a Fission one hyzer flips easily and is hard to turn over.
“I’m a HUGE fan of the MVP Hex. A fission hex is a little more expensive but it will hyzer flip easily and is hard”
The Pilot has been their go-to putter for years, mostly for feel; they think they get a bit more glide from it when spin putting.
“Streamline Pilot has been my go-to for years. Mostly just for feel since any neutral putters will fly very similar at that speed/distance. I *feel* like I get a bit”
Spin putts with a Soft Banger GT and Judges: the bead resists torque and both are thin enough to put plenty of spin on.
“Soft Banger gt and judges. The beed resists torque yet both are thin enough that I can put a good”
Putts with an Eclipse Electron Proxy for most things, a Watt when they need more glide on C2 putts and a Glitch for even longer or uphill putts.
“Proxy, Watt, Glitch. The watt if I need a bit more glide on C2 putt, glitch for even longer putts and up hill puts. Eclipse Electron Proxy for every thang”
The Hope is exactly what they wanted: Aviar-like depth but putts a touch more stable, and with their low-to-high spin putt it is a laser; loves Sense plastic.
“The Hope is exactly what I wanted; a disc that felt like an aviar in its depth, but putts just a smidge more stable. I putt with a lot of”
Despite stacks of putters at home, has putted with the Autopilot since it was released and it looks like a keeper.
“Despite the stacks of putters around the house, I've been using the Autopilot since its release, and it looks like it's a keeper. (Seems odd”
Likes the Luna because it is unforgiving and shows them exactly what they're doing wrong; the Wizard they used before could hide poor or lazy form.
“I like the Luna because it’s unforgiving. It tell me exactly what I’m doing wrong-which can be a lot. I used to use the wizard but found it can hide”
Found the Fierce a bit too flippy for putting, missing right more than they liked, and it slid very far on long upshots, leaving long comebacks.
“The Fierce was close, but a bit flippier, and I missed right more than I would've liked. It also liked to slide really far on long upshots, which led to”
Found the Spin flies identically to the Fierce but its bead slows it down on the ground, so it took over from the Fierce for them.
“The Spin flies identically to the Fierce, but the bead slows it down on the ground, so it took over.”
Chose a putter by hand feel and landed on the Tempo, which isn't understable at all; they mostly spin putt and it has a bit of push too.
“I just follow my heart in terms of hand feel regardless of stability, and I ultimately landed on the Axiom Tempo, which is not understable at all. I primarily spin”
Spin putts with the Pure: shallow, beadless and a little understable; says Zero Pro is great putter plastic and all the Zero plastics are good.
“Pure for me. Shallow, beadless, a smidge understable. Zero Pro is such good putter plastic, but all of the zero plastics are great too. Project chain grip if you’re a”
Loves the Relay for 260–280 ft shots and says it helped them learn their backhand.
“Relay realy relay! I love this thing for 260-280 feet, and it helped me learn my backhand. But no, you”
Says the Arachnid is labelled a 5-speed but goes faster and farther than that: great for straight pushing shots with a gentle fade on a little hyzer, or a gentle rightward drift thrown flat.
“Get an Arachnid. It's labeled as a 5 speed, but everyone I know who has thrown it agrees it's faster / farther than a 5. It's awesome for straight pushing”
Got a Kaxe for their overstable mid slot and it is nowhere near as overstable as the numbers: very straight with only a slight fade, closer to an EMac Truth, which disappointed them.
“I just got a Kaxe for my overstable mid slot and it is nowhere near as over stable as the numbers suggest. Mine is really straight with only a slight”
Found a 152 g F9 borderline unthrowable unless thrown forehand.
“That seems like… masochistic to throw. I found a 152 gram F9 that was borderline unthrowable unless it was forehand”
A big fan of the Weatherman Fox, now one of their most-used discs on wooded courses: great for turnovers and hyzer flips and glides for days.
“I’m also a big fan of the Weatherman Fox. It’s become one of my most used discs, especially on wooded courses. Great for turnover shots”
Their Star Rollo is mildly understable without burning over immediately, flying like their GStar Fox; a DX Rollo is the super-understable utility disc they wanted and they can reliably forehand-turnover it for awkward scrambles.
“I have a star Rollo and it's mildly understable but does not just burn over immediately. It flies pretty similar to my gstar fox. I got a DX Rollo for”
Using a CT Swirl Roost and calls it the best putter plastic they've ever touched.
“Haven't used focus, but using the Roost in CT Swirl and damn it's the best putter plastic I've had the chance of touching ever.”
With about 300 ft of power, finds Halo Star very overstable: their Halo Star Hawkeye flies like a Teebird, while the Champion Hawkeye is close to its flight numbers.
“I have a halo star and a champion Hawkeye. The halo star flies like a teebird and the champion is fairly close to the flight numbers. If youre looking for”
Their Duo Leopard3 has both more turn and more fade than their Star TL3; they share a slot but the flight lines differ slightly.
“Yes but the flights are different. My duo leopard3 has both more turn and more fade than my star TL3. They occupy the same slot for me but the flight”
Has thrown many TL3s and Leopard3s: for their arm speed a Champion Leopard3 and Star TL3 fly similarly, and their Halo TL3 flies like a Teebird should.
“For my arm speed, a champ L3 and and Star TL3 fy pretty similarly. My Halo TL3 flies like what I think a Teebird should fly like Edit: just realized”
Finds GStar TLs have more left-right movement, don't change much over time and tend to have a lot of glide.
“Gstar TL's will have more left/right movement, and doesn't seem to change much over time. They also tend to have a lot of glide. -”
Keeps a max-weight Star Aviar3 for short turnovers or an arrow-straight flight with a flat landing, alongside a Jawbreaker Zone and a C-Line P4.
“Also keep a max weight star Aviar3 in the bag for those short turnovers or when I want an arrow straight flight with flat landing.”
Loves the Pig: pinpoint accurate and they've thrown it in from long range many times; bags a Halo Nexus Pig (much more stable) and an old Color Glow Ricky Pig (more glidey, less stable).
“Piiiiiiggggg. I know not everyone loves them but I’m pin point accurate with the damn things and have thrown them in from far as hell more times than I can”
The Polecat is their main approach disc because they control it best; adds a Streamline Stabilizer for more fade, finding it less overstable than a Zone.
“Polecat, Voodoo, and Streamline Stabilizer. Polecat is my main approach disc as I can control it the best. Voodoo comes out if I need it to put a little more”
Throws a TSA Praxis for straight, very glidey approaches and a Vex Vessel for forehand; isn't a fan of the Inner Core, which flies straight but the Praxis beat it.
“as the praxis for straight super gildey approach. I'm in Colorado FWIW. Less dense air here. I am not a fan of the inner core, too lid like imo. Flys”
In Colorado, finds the Stasis great in headwinds and for dropping where they want it, with more glide than a Berg and a shallower feel.
“Stasis is great for headwind, and dropping it where you want it. More glide than a berg but also more shallow. I throw a TSA”
Approaches mostly with the Berg because it is the most predictable disc they have ever thrown; their Tempo is too close to their Envy to grab often, but its extra stability helps on longer approaches.
“Mostly Berg, because it's the most predictable disc I have ever thrown. I also have a Tempo which I thought I would throw more, but it's so close to my”
Uses a Watt most of the time and calls it a dream for accuracy, then an Envy, A2 and Pyro; the A2 is new and is what they always wanted the Zone to be.
“I use my watt majority of the time. Thing is a dream for accuracy. Followed by envy A2 and pyro. A2 is new and what always wanted my zone to”
Bags two Harps (a quite overstable VIP and a straighter BT Medium), a VIP Anvil for pure beef, a BT Soft Shield for straighter approaches and a Zero Medium Pure when they need something understable.
“Then I have a VIP Anvil for pure beef but it rarely gets used for approaches. Finally I have a Bt Soft Shield for straighter approaches and Zero Medium Pure”
Throws a 2021 Euro Open Metal Flake MD5 for shots up to 300 ft that won't burn over at any power level, a beaten Zone for forehand turnovers and BT Medium Harps for backhand approaches.
“2021 Euro Open metal flake MD5 for up to 300 and it won’t burn over on me on any power level, BT Medium moonshine harp”
The Heat feels good for straight, far forehands; turnovers still need a lot of work, but they should have bagged it long ago.
“Definitely Heat. Feels good for straight and far forheands. Turnovers need a lot of work, but that's really a disc I shoud get a long”
After losing their Jet in a water hole they bought a used Fission Wave and love it: a nice flip on a flat release and straight forever on a hyzer at their arm speed.
“I went to PIAS for a sacrificial disc just in case the wind caught it again and found this wave. I love that thing. Gets a nice flip on flat”
Tried a Bokeh for the first time and was pleasantly surprised by its torque resistance, letting them throw it consistently backhand and forehand.
“Tried out a Bokeh for the first time yesterday. Was pleasantly surprised it has some decent torque resistance so I can backhand and forehand consistently”
Calls the Essence the best understable fairway: cheap, in many plastics, very consistent, goes a mile and feels great in the hand.
“Essence. Cheap, available in so many plastics, super consistent mold, goes a mile and feels great in the hand.”
Their favourite slightly understable fairway is an S-Line FD and their favourite flippy one is the Function, which reminds them of well-beaten old Roadrunners.
“Favorite slightly understable. S line FD. Favorite "Flippy" -- function. Reminds me of old road runners I had beat the”
Recommends the Lift as not as flippy as a Virus and inexpensive, and bags one in both Neutron and Cosmic Neutron.
“Agreed, but would encourage you to look to the Lift as well. Not as flippy as a Virus and only $13. I bag one in both Neutron and Cosmic Neutron.”
Bags a Z Cicada as their understable fairway; bought it expecting something neutral from the numbers, but it is definitely understable even at their arm speed. A Drift ended up as their neutral fairway.
“I currently bag a Z Cicada as my understable fairway. I bought it because the numbers had me thinking it'd be pretty neutral, but it's understable for sure even at”
Searching for a flippy 9-speed after losing their Viruses, they tried used Valkyries and then a Streamline Shift, which is a flip machine, great in a tailwind or for long turnovers with a forward-pushing fade.
“Got the propaganda and streamline shift, shift is a flip machine, great with a tailwind or long turnovers with a forward pushing fade, propaganda is the Goldilocks disc in this”
Loves their Detour: it holds a line with a slight fade at the end and flies consistently at sea level and at elevation, which helped when they played in Minnesota.
“I LOVE my Detour. Put that on a line and it will hold with a slight fade at the end. Also flies consistently at sea level and at elevation. Was”
Picked up a Reko from a used rack and threw it around the yard: it flies straight and pretty far and does what it is supposed to, so they have a few more on order.
“I picked up a Reko from the used rack a couple of weeks ago and threw it around the yard. It just flies straight and pretty far. It just does”
Recommends the Svea for reinforcing essentials: it shows any form errors and stays on whatever line you put it on, a little understable, so a dipped elbow or too much hyzer is obvious.
“If you want a disk that reinforces essentials i would recommend a Kastaplast Svea. This disc will show any errors in form. It basically stays on any line you put”
Their oldest Fission Crave is their all-time favourite, max weight and now quite flippy even for their 300 ft arm; an Eclipse Crave is very straight with a reliable fade, and a Neutron one was ridiculously overstable.
“I currently still have my oldest fission Crave which is my all time fave. It’s max weight and pretty flippy now even for my 300 foot noodle arm. I also”
The Watt is their favourite approach disc after trying many others; they like the shallow rim and the stability.
“Seconded. The Watt is my favorite approach disc and I've tried many others. Like the shallow rim and the stability.”
Calls a Pig and an ancient P2 the goat approach combo: they get a new Pig every year, but the P2 is about 10 years old.
“A pig and an ancient P2 are the goat approach combo. Usually get a new pig every year but the P2 is like 10 years old haha”
Bags a Buzzz, Mako3 and a Paradox they didn't expect to like, which has become their favourite scramble disc.
“Almost the same here, Buzzz, Mako 3, and a Paradox I thought I wouldnt like much but has become my favorite scramble disc in my”
Bought a Glitch as a warm-up catch disc and it became their go-to approach: a very soft turnover that gets around corners effortlessly.
“This is me but with a Glitch. I can just whip that thing on a very satisfying, super soft turn over that just gets around corners so effortlessly. Bought it”
Bags a Toro alongside a Zone and finds them similar, preferring the Toro for RHBH and the Zone for RHFH; the Toro feels closer to a 3-speed, likely from its lack of glide.
“I also bag a Toro and it is pretty similar to the Zone I just prefer it for RHBH and really only use the Zone for RHFH. And honestly, the”
Bagged a Harp and a Zone for a while and finds them essentially the same disc, except the Harp lands softer where the Zone hits and rolls.
“For awhile it was a Harp and a Zone. While i realize they are essentialy the same disc the Harp lands softer whereas the Zone tends to hit and roll.”
Recently switched to the A5 for backhand and forehand approaches and likes it a lot: torque and wind resistant enough while keeping some glide and a mostly straight flight until the end.
“Recently switched to Prodigy A5 for BH and FH approach and I like it a lot. I don't bag any other Prodigy discs. It's torque and wind resistant enough while”
Approaching is the best part of their game and after trying almost every approach disc they landed on an A5 plus Anvil as the best backhand and forehand combo.
“A5 + Anvil Approaching is easily the best part of my game and I feel like I’ve tried every approach disc in the game, this is the best combo I’ve”
Without a big arm, their farthest throw (350 ft) is with a 168 g Valkyrie, and they recommend dropping weight to get the flight when you can't put much spin on the disc.
“Dropping the weight will allow you to get the desired flight when you’re not able to get a lot of spin on the disc. I don’t have a big arm”
Likes the Panther as an understable mid: a smaller-diameter midrange that makes it very easy to shape shots.
“Personally I like the Panther. It's a smaller diameter mid that is very easy to shape shots.”
Has bagged both the Roadrunner and Sidewinder and currently keeps only the Roadrunner: it gives an easy hyzer flip and, thrown flat, a perfect slow turnover that makes up for their lack of a forehand.
“I’ve had both in my bag. Currently only bagging the Roadrunner. I find that the Roadrunner gives me an easy Hyzer flip and when thrown flat is a perfect slow”
Compares the Sidewinder to a beat-in Valkyrie that turns dependably but also comes back.
“the Sidewinder is more like a beat in Valkyrie that turns dependability but also comes”
A 167 g Fission Insanity took some time to dial in, but now gives them a consistent 340 ft hyzer-flip line and they can't play a round without it.
“Ive got a 167g Fission Insanity that takes some time to dial in, but my goodness now that ive figured it out, its a consistent 340ish on a hyzerflip line.”
With an ultimate background, finds the Parachute easier to throw than any disc in their bag: for shaped throws they don't want a golf disc to fight, a little spin and it stays on its line.
“For me, it's just easier to throw than any disc in my bag. I've got an ultimate background, so when it's a shaped throw I know I can make but”
Prefers the Spore for long putts just outside their putter range, though they won't use it in strong conditions.
“I prefer the Spore (Discmania version). I use it for long putts that are just out of my putter range. Note: I won’t use it”
Has a Total Eclipse Pitch that lives in their glow bag but never made the main bag; uses it as a catch disc and throws it a lot in glow rounds for fun shots.
“I have a Total Eclipse Pitch. It’s in my glow bag but never made my main. It gets 2 main uses. Thrown as a catch frisbee or tossed in glow”
Keeps both the Stig and Falk in their glow bag and finds the Falk a big step up; calls the Stig great but really a hybrid fairway/mid, offering midrange control with a little extra fairway distance.
“I have both a the Stig and Falk in my glow bag, and the Falk is definitely a big step up. I'd love to see Kastaplast do a disc that's”
Recommends an Opto Maul as more predictable for flip-ups than a River, holding its stability for a long time: theirs is two years old and has barely changed. Finds Rivers quite touchy.
“give the Maul a try in Opto. It’s more predictable for flip-ups/overs than a River and will hold that stability pretty well for a while. Mine’s 2 years old and”
Has a Gold River that isn't beaten in yet; it sometimes copies their Svea's flight, but usually when they didn't intend it, so it isn't dependable for them yet.
“I have a river in gold plastic, but it’s definately not beat in yet. Sometimes I can replicate the Svea behaviour with the River, but usually when not intended 😆”
Wanted a beefier Buzzz, but the Buzzz OS was not for them.
“Really wanting a beefy Buzzz, the OS was not for me.”
Says the Buzzz and Hex are often compared but fly differently for them: their ESP Buzzz is straight with a reliable finish. Bagged both for a while before swapping the Hex for a Malita.
“For me, my ESP Buzzz is straight with a reliable finish versus my Eclipse 2.0 Hex is slightly flippy with a straight finish. I bagged both for a while until”
Finds their Deflectors extremely overstable and their Pyro overstable too, and uses a Zone OS as a hyper-overstable utility disc; in their experience Tempos are considerably less overstable than Pyros.
“My deflectors are extremely overstable. My pyro is overstable. I have a zone OS that I use as my hyper overstable utility Disc for short shots. I guess that is”
Goes to the Runway when they want a little more distance than a Deflector but still a mid, noting it isn't as torque resistant; considers it more of a longer Zone.
“Have you tried the Streamline Runway? It might not be what you’re looking for since it’s not as torque resistant, but that’s what I go to when I want a”
Had a Vass that flew a very long way and was the first driver they could get to turn over; useless in the Texas wind, but a bomber.
“I don’t throw any kastaplast, but I had a Vass that would go a quarter mile. Was the first driver I could get over on. Garbage in the Texas wind,”
After an Aviar and an unremarkable Colt, got a Dynamic Discs Judge (Robert Burridge stamp) that actually helps their game; it felt right in the hand, is a bit domey and is more predictable for them than the Aviar.
“Then i got a Dynamic Discs Judge. Not sure of the plastic atm but its a Robert Burridge stamp. This actually helps my game. Thing is sick. Idk how to”
Their special-edition C-Line Notion was very straight out of the box but got flippy quickly after a few tree hits.
“The special edition Discmania C-Line Notion is very straight out of the box but got flippy quick after I hit a few trees.”
The Firebird is the most fun disc they have and does anything they want: big 90-degree turns, overhand throws to 225 ft and big flex shots.
“The Firebird is just the most fun disc I have. It does anything I want it to. Big 90 degree turn? Sure! Overhand throw dead center 225’? Yeah sure let’s”
After nearly 25 years of playing, calls the GStar Destroyer a sleeper: with their arm speed and technique it behaves like a Trail but faster and farther, and has earned its spot in the bag.
“Been playing nearly 25 years. The GStar destroyer is a sleeper!! With my arm speed and technique, it behaves like a Trail, but faster, and further. It’s earned its spot”
Throws their Escape farther and with more control than their Trail, which was so overstable they used it in a Thunderbird slot.
“I second this. I can throw my Escape farther and more in control than the Trail. My trail is so OS that when I bagged it, I used it for”
Loving their ESP Sled and Ultra Sled: they fly insanely straight and hold whatever angle they're thrown on with minimal fade.
“Also been absolutely loving my ESP Sled and my Ultra Sled. They fly insanely straight. Hold whatever angle you throw them on with minimal fade.”
Their issue with the Zone SS is that they don't find the amount of turn predictable.
“The issue I have with the Zone SS is that I don't find the amount of turn predictable. OP”
In northern Ontario they switch to a PA-3 in 300 Ultra Soft for winter: the soft plastic firms up at -30 °C and still gives grip, where their regular putter feels too slick.
“Living in northern Ontario - I switch my putter to a PA-3 300 Ultra Soft. The super soft rubber tends to firm up in the -30c and still provide some”
After a couple of years playing, says the light, understable Diamond with its predictable glide saved their beginner game, gave them their solo ace and made it easy to learn hyzers around trees; three of the eight discs in their bag today were Diamonds.
“I've only been playing a couple of years with the plan of many more. Understable, light and with a predictable glide pattern = Diamond. That disc saved my beginner game.”
Their K1 Soft Järn is awesome, and K1 Soft is easily their favourite plastic, though they don't gel with many other Kastaplast molds.
“my K1 soft Jarn is so awesome. I wish I gelled with more kastaplast molds, K1 soft is easily my favorite plastic.”
A first-year left-hander on wooded courses uses the Origin for easy turnovers and hyzer flips, with a Roc3 as their workhorse mid.
“Midrange: Discmania Origin and Innova Roc3 (origin for easy turnovers and hyzerflips, roc3 is my workhorse and beat to nearly straight) Fairway Driver: Axiom Crave”
Thinks everyone should bag a Mako3 and prefers Star or Halo Star plastic; says it flies exactly where you throw it and helps show where your form is off, though DX will change after tree hits.
“I think basically everyone should bag a Mako3 (5/5/0/0) or something similar. I like star or halo star plastic personally, but nothing wrong with DX if you want to keep”
Went through a phase of putting with a C-Line MD1 because they were very consistent with it, but some of the misses were brutal.
“I had a time where I putted with a C-Line MD1, since I was super consistent. But some of the misses where brutal. I putt”
Their Clear Trust still looks nearly brand new after a few months in the bag and is used almost every round; finds Clear plastic a durability upgrade on Grand.
“My Clear Trust looks pretty much brand new, even with a few months in the bag. [It's not a workhorse, but I use it pretty much every round.] I imagine”
Finds Clear plastic too gummy and says dome varies: a domey Clear Grace is the beefiest Grace they have thrown. Their favourites are the earlier Orbit Graces, and they don't enjoy flatter stock ones.
“Clear is too gummy for me. Dome and PLH can differ. I grabbed a flatter clear and decently domey clear and the domey is the beefiest Grace I’ve thrown. The”
Loves their Royal Grand Brave: with a noodle arm it isn't very flippy for them, flying mostly neutral and straight, and they consistently throw it 280–300 ft.
“I have a Royal Grand Brave and love it!! I have a noodle arm, so it isn't very flippy for me. It's mostly a neutral straight flyer that I can”
Uses the Savior as their approach disc and finds it excellent from farther out where they can crank on it, but closer to the basket it throws like a brick and is hard to get touch with.
“Do any of you use the Savior as your approach disc? I do and have found it to be excellent from further out where you can crank on it. However,”
An older player threw a 164 g Fission Trail about 400 ft on a hole with a slight downhill finish. Lighter 140–150 g Trails just turn over for them, so they are dialling in 165–170 g Fission Waves and Trails as straight distance drivers.
“Older gentleman and working through different discs in search of distance. Threw a JC Fission Trail 126ft past hole 16 at Pier Park today (that's 400 ft total, a bit”
Has bought two Parallel-plastic Vessels and both fly more like 4/3/0/1 than overstable, dead straight even without warping; can push it 250–280 ft thrown flat and hard, and finds a Captain's Caliber far more overstable.
“Hey friends, has anyone else found that the Vessel in parallel plastic just ISN'T overstable? I've bought two of them, and they're both like 4 3 0 1. I thought”
Had the same turnover problem with the Luna and switched to a Streamline Stabilizer, which gives good throws every time; prefers its flatter profile to the domey, deep Luna.
“I started throwing a streamline stabilizer and I get good throws every time so I figure to hell with it. I just switched to this one now and love it.”
Just started experimenting with the Range: Berg-like, but a bit more understable with a touch more push, and still a good low-glide approach disc.
“I just started experimenting with the Range, it's Berg like, but a bit more US, with a touch more push. Still a good low glide approach disc.”
The Beast is their most reliable and accurate driver; they keep trying faster, newer drivers and always come back to it because they throw it far more accurately and consistently.
“Beast is my most reliable and accurate driver. I love trying faster/ newer drivers and always end up going back to it because I can throw it so much more”
Bags a beat-in GStar Boss for when they feel frisky, but on many local courses the consistency of their Orc outweighs the Boss's potential.
“That’s the way I am with my Orcs. I have a beat in GStar Boss for when I’m feeling frisky but on many courses around me the consistency of my”
Has thrown a Valkyrie for over 20 years and lately a 156 g Impulse, which is like a baby Valkyrie for them: not the same flight, but they can backhand it more cleanly with very little effort.
“I’ve also been using a 156g Impulse lately, and have to say that it’s like a baby Valk for me. Not the exact same flight pattern, but I can backhand”
About four years in: their absolute max distance is a Mamba or a light Daedalus pushing 350 ft, and for close to max distance with more reliable control they throw a Tern or Shryke pushing 315 ft.
“About 4 years in. I've settled on:. Absolute max distance is a Mamba and a lightweight Deadalus pushing 350. Close to max distance with more reliable control is a Tern”
Lost their favourite KC Star Wraith, tried others that didn't fly the same, then got a Philo Duo Wraith; it didn't seem right at first, but now that it's broken in they get the same distance as the one they lost.
“Wraith. I lost my favorite KC Star Wraith at the start of the summer. Heartbroken. Tried some others, but they just weren’t flying the same. Got a Philo Duo Wraith.”
Moved from a VIP Sword and Star Wraith to a Royal Grand Grace, then about a year ago to a Royal Grand Orbit Strive, which has been a revelation for their noodle arm: 360 ft on a good day and 320 ft consistently.
“Later I switched to a Royal Grand Grace (175 g) as I could get a bit more consistent distance with it and then the Strive in Royal Grand Orbit plastic(175”
For the past two of almost five years, the Gorgon has been their go-to distance disc, reaching about 325 ft on flat ground; very glidey and holds a line for a long time before its fade.
“I've been playing for almost 5 years in the last 2 I would say the Gorgon is my go to disc for distance. I'm not a bomber by any means”
Has played for a year and their current distance driver is a K1 Impa, getting 60–70 m with it.
“I only played for a year but currently its Kastaplast k1 IMPA. I get up to 60-70m with it. I got a crave disc yesterday”

“Destroyer to Wraith to S-Line DD3. I still use them all I guess but distance reached in that order. Destroyer for needle straight backhands, Wraith forehand, and DD3 for full”
On wide-open holes throws their flippy DD1 with some hyzer and lets it flip over and come back.
“If it’s wide open I throw my flippy DD1 with some hyzer and let it flip over and come back.”
Their main distance driver was a max-weight Lucid Captain; as they've got older and more injured it changed to a Lucid Air Captain in the 150s.
“Max Weight Lucid Captain. As I've gotten older and more injured that's changed to a Lucid Air Captain in the”
A forehand thrower with 380 ft accurate distance who went Destroyer, Time Lapse, Octane, Q-Line DD3; bags the Octane for big S-turns and the DD3 for flip up to straight.
“RHFH 380 accurate distance Destroyer>Time Lapse>Octane>Q Line DD3 I bag the octane and dd3 at the moment. Octane for big s turns and DD3 for”
For max distance regardless of consequences they throw a Fission Trace; for very good distance where accuracy matters, a Fission Wave.
“If all I care about is getting max distance, damn the consequences, fission Trace. If I want very good distance but need to worry about”
Throws a Wraith when they need a reliable 350–375 ft, and a Tern or Orbital for farther, having got out to 400 ft with both.
“Today, if I need a reliable 350-375, I throw a Wraith. Further than that, either a Tern or an Orbital. I’ve gotten out to 400 with both. I’ve been tossing”
A left-hand backhand thrower: an Opto Saint was their first disc past 300 ft and a Hard Lots their first to 350 ft; also says the Halo Beast still bombs for them.
“Opto saint was the first I got over 300 feet. Hard Lots was the first to 350. I have a fairly stable trail that I can flip to 400+ now.”
Progressed from Leopard to Diamond, Sapphire, Musket and Grand Grace as arm speed grew; says 90% of their full-distance tee drives would be worth the Musket.
“DX Leopard -> Opto Diamond -> Opto Sapphire -> Opto Musket -> Grand Grace. 90% of my full distance drives from the tee would be worth the Musket. This progression”
Uses a Westside Destiny, which they find less stable and less fast than its numbers, so they can throw it far without a 13–14 speed arm; on wide-open holes it's the Destiny all day. Their max is about 380 ft.
“Im currently using a westside destiny - its less stable than the numbers and not really as fast as the numbers - or at least, I can throw it far”
Has thrown a Big Z Thrasher for several years, bagging two bought together; their max distance went from 275 to 340 ft and the Thrasher is still their go-to unless there's a serious headwind or long downhill.
“It's been a Big Z Thrasher for several years now. I have two in my bag that I bought at the same time. I threw one about 75% of the”
Their first self-bought distance driver was a Ballista, which flies far more understable than its numbers; still their farthest-flying disc ever, but the wide rim made it wind-sensitive and it needed about 60 ft of lateral movement for max distance.
“My first distance driver I bought for myself was a L64 Ballista (14,5,-1,3 but it flies way more understable than that). I was a noob and didnt know better. Its”
Their nose and release angles start to break down at 9-speed, so they carry a Terra because they're more consistent with it than a Firebird-type disc.
“9 speed is where my nose angle and release angle start to break down, so I carry a Terra (8-speed) because I’m more consistent with it than a Firebird-type disc.”
A Neutron Resistor was their main driver for months, but they had to throw it extremely hard to get over 300 ft forehand; the Terra gives comparable distance without the strain.
“A neutron Resistor was my main driver for several months, but I found I was having to throw the absolute piss out of it to get over 300 feet on”
Finds the Terra overstable, but says their Athena is probably their most overstable disc.
“Terra is overstable. I don’t know if it’s just mine or what but my Athena is probably my most overstable disc 😂”
Forehand dominant and can throw a Pyro about as far as a Firebird.
“I'm forehand dominant and I can pretty much throw a Pyro as far as a Firebird.”
Used to think a Firebird thrown softer covered it, until finding a 173 g Classic Glow Champion TeeBird that works for them: perfect for getting around a tree 200–250 ft out and landing in front of it, a shot they can't throw with the Firebird.
“Then I finally found a Teebird (Classic Glow Champion, 173 g, to be specific) that really works for me, and I have not thought that since. For me it's the”
Has bagged an Ascend for years; after their special-edition one got run over they found another from the same run and says it is amazing for turnovers and hyzer flips.
“Been bagging an Ascend for a few years now. My original one was the special edition one with the 20s art nuveau style lady on the front. It got run”
Recently switched to MVP, Axiom and Streamline from Discraft; the Control is their most-thrown disc and they love it, getting 360–370 ft on a flat-to-hyzer release.
“for reference my most thrown on the bag now is the control (love this thing) and i can shoot a flat into hyzer 360’ -370’ trail - 350 with very”
Uses Relativities in several plastics: the Neutron one is their main long driver without a headwind, for hyzer flips or long gliding hyzers, and the Proton one is beefier, good up to 15 mph headwinds.
“The Nu R is next, and my main long driver when head wind isn't an issue either hyzer flip or long gliding steeper hyzers. The Proton R is a little”
Only throws two MVP drivers because of their overstability: a Fission Photon that has been in the bag for three to four years, and a Teleport used strictly for forehand.
“I really only throw two MVP drivers because of my issue with their overstability. A Fizzy Photon thats been in my bag for 3-4 years and a teleport, but its”
Throws 430+ ft and says Mayhems can crush: Plasma ones with slight dome are the most overstable but still not beefy.
“Mayhem man, I throw 430+ and they can crush! Plasma with a slight dome are the most OS but still not beefy. Then you can take an engine and beat”
A new Team MVP member who throws around 60 mph uses the Catalyst for flippy shots and the Engine for more overstable ones; sub-165 g Engines come out basically as Fission and absolutely bomb.
“I’ve landed on the Engine and Catalyst as my two main drivers. Catalyst for the flippy shots (I throw around 60mph) and Engines for the more overstable shots. If you”
Removed all MVP drivers and went back to Discraft and Innova: their very beat-in Zeus hyzer-flips up to flat and goes about 415 ft.
“Reference for arm speed the beat in Zeus in my bag hyzer flips up to flat and goes 415ish for me, and the two destroyers have a bit more turn”
Their favourite MVP/Axiom distance driver is the Vanish, which flies close to a Wraith for them but straighter overall.
“My favorite distance driver from MVP/Axiom is the Vanish. Flies pretty close to a Wraith in my experience but overall straighter.”
Gets over 500 ft on the course and finds only two MVP/Axiom distance drivers predictable; the Tenacity flips but never uncontrollably, so they use it for hyzer flips needing 450+ ft.
“The Tenacity will flip but never uncontrollably so I use it on Hyzer flips that I need 450' or more on and the Zenith is the only MVP disc thats”
Throws about 500 ft backhand and uses flat and domey Neutron Dimensions as their most overstable and stable straight-to-fade drivers, and has never had issues with MVP distance discs.
“Flat PLC neutron Dimension (most OS) * Domey black rim neutron Dimension (Stable, straight to”
Throws a 145 g Fission Fireball that is as dependable as expected but goes 350 ft before fading.
“Have you thrown a Fission 145g Fireball? Just as dependable as you would imagen only it goes 350 before fading.”
Throws a stable Total Eclipse Hex and an understable Particle Proton Hex, and bought a Proton Reactor that is basically what they wanted; it fades a bit fast for now but they expect it to settle as it beats in. Really likes it for forehands, and it pushed a Balance out of the bag.
“so I went out and bought me a proton reactor (2026 OTB open run) and it’s basically what I was looking for. It does seem to want to fade fast”
Switches between a Neutron Matrix and a Neutron Reactor for their overstable mid and has always felt the Reactor is a bit more overstable, but not by much.
“I’ve been switching back and forth between a Neutron Matrix and a Neutron Reactor for my overstable mid and I’ve always felt the Reactor was a bit more overstable but”
Their Neutron Servo does at 330 ft what their Star Wraiths do at 385 ft: hyzer flip, drift right a bit and land with a consistent fade; powered up to about 360 ft it has a steady right drift like their Wraiths past 420 ft.
“My neutron Servo does at 330 what my star Wraiths do at 385: hyzer flip, drift right a bit and land with a consistent fade, ideally right in front of”
Recommends the Envy: a decent amount of beef brand new, it turns into a very forgiving straight putter that is still hard to turn over, and works as a putting putter too.
“Gotta try an envy. A great disc to cycle through. Decent amount of beef brand new and turns into a very forgiving straight putter that’s still hard to turn over.”
Loves the Fission Rhythm for any kind of hyzer flip, though it can get flippy in a hurry; also calls a Particle Glow Pixel a fantastically straight throwing putter.
“I love the Rhythm in Fission, but it can get flippy in a hurry. Great for any type of hyzer flip. Neutron Trail is also a great addition. Particle glow”
Finds the Ohm's gyro overmold makes it a bit better in wind, and bags two for straight shots with a baby flip and a baby hyzer.
“I find the Gyro of an Ohm (same mold I believe) makes them just a bit better in the wind. I bag 2 currently for straight with baby flip and”
Recommends the Maiden as a low-profile microbead putter that glides for days: BT Hard for putting and VIP for throwing; their VIP-X one is perfect for hyzer flips and doesn't roll on anhyzer.
“The Maiden from Westside is my recommendation. They are a nice low profile putter with a microbead that glide for days. I BT Hard plastic for putting, and any of”
After trying many shop suggestions they landed on the Zero Pro Mercy: technically not beaded but with a beveled edge that feels like one, it putts very like their Roaches and the Zero Pro plastic is the best base plastic they've felt.
“I landed on the zero pro L64 Mercy though. Technically not a beaded putter, but it has a very beveled edge that makes it feel like a beaded putter. Putts”
Putted with a well beaten glow Proxy all last year and liked it, but switched because the Roach glided even better.
“I putted with a really beat in glow proxy all of last year. I actually really liked it. Reason I switched from it was that the Roach glided even better”
Uses the Colt as their long-range putter: shallow, beaded and with good glide; likes XT plastic.
“Colt. Shallow beaded and with good glide. It’s my long range putter. I like the xt plastic but id say”
Finds PA-3s bricks and swapped to Good Boys; says the Latitude 64 Peak is very similar and has more glide than a PA-3 in their experience.
“Pa-3 are bricks so I feel you. I swapped to Good Boys (also Prodigy if you like their plastic). The Peak from L64 is also very similar. Both have more”
Recommends the Mirage: shallow, beaded and great for long C2 putts that go straight; settled on high-150s Star or Halo after trying max-weight DX, and says thrown they become a fun, flippy approach disc.
“Innova Mirage is worth trying. Shallow, beaded, and great for long C2 putts that putt straight. I wanted to like max weight DX, but settled on high 150's star or”
Settled on the Alter as a shallow, glidey putter, slightly shallower than a Pilot and as glidey.
“I like the same things as you. I settled on Thought Space Athletics Alter. It's slightly shallower than a pilot (which is another good recommendation) and as glidey. Second recommendation”
Finds the Buzzz SS flips much later than a Detour, which burned over too quickly for them, and says the Buzzz and Buzzz SS are quite different discs.
“Buzzz ss flips way later than a detour, I really hated how quickly the detour just wanted to burn over. The buzzz and buzzz ss are pretty different discs, they”
Couldn't use the Zone when they started seven years ago, but last year embraced it: its stability and reliability forehand and backhand helped turn their rudimentary forehand into close to a weapon.
“The Zone. Tried one when I first started disc 7 yrs ago, and I couldn’t use it. Last year decided I needed to embrace some form of OS approach. The”
Has thrown the PD for the last couple of years after trying almost every other control driver.
“PD for the last couple of years. I have thrown basically every other control driver, almost out of spite. Also”
The CD1 is the most versatile disc in their bag and probably their go-to; the plastic changes the flight.
“Cd1 discmania made. Most versatile disc in my bag. Depending on the plastic you will get different flights. Probably my most go to disc”
Has thrown the Control only a few times, enough to see it fills the same slot as their Anax. The Anax started out far too beefy for them but turned into one of their favourite discs as it beat in.
“Possibly unhelpful, but I have only thrown the Control a few times. Just enough to confirm it falls into my Anax slot. The Anax started off entirely too beefy for me, and as it beat in turned into one of”
Says the Berg X has no fight for them: thrown flat it just drifts left until it turns over or lands.
“I don't totally burnout the Berg X but it has no fight for me. If I throw it flat it just drifts left until it totally turns over or lands.”
Advises beating in an S-Line P3x: once it is properly broken in, they say it becomes the most trustworthy dead-straight throwing putter they have thrown.
“Just keep beating in the S-Line P3x. Once its broken in properly (trust me, you'll know) it will be the best trustworthy dead straight throwing putter you've ever thrown.”
Throws a mix of brands including a lot of Prodigy and calls the F5 a great straight fairway: not very long for them, but accurate and workable, and a staple this year.
“F5 is a great straight fairway. Not super long for me, but accurate and workable.”
Bags the A4 rather than the more popular A5 and likes its flight: some flip-up and a straight push for a while, with a reliable bite at the end.
“most people like the A5 but i actually bag the A4 . it has a super cool flight, some flip up and straight push for a while but reliable bite at the end.”
Notes that K1 Grind plastic is more understable: their K1 Älva bombs while their Grind Älva rolls.
“Keep in the mind, the K1 Grind plastic is more understable for those 2 molds. My K1 Alva bombs, my Grind Alva rolls.”
The VIP Orbit Hatchet is their go-to understable distance driver at elevation; to them it flies more like a -3 turn than -2.
“The VIP Orbit Hatchet is my go to understable distance driver at elevation. To me its more of a -3 turn than a -2 so it would probably fly pretty straight up in elevation.”
Says the Bolt flies forever and gives them bullet-straight shots at any distance; with an arm speed around 54 mph and the right wind, 400 ft is possible for them.
“you might look at a lattitude 64 Bolt. It flys forever and you can get bullet straight shots any distance you want. 13 speed, but my noodle arm speed is only 54+/- and with the right wind 400 ft is”
Prefers the Construct to the Gorgon and says it flies more like a -2/2 than its 10/6/-1/2 numbers.
“Only thing similar that I much prefer, is a thought space athletics Construct. 10/6/-1/2. But flies more like a -2/2”
Calls the Inertia an underrated driver: less stable than a Trail and a real bomber with an initial left-to-right drift.
“I think MVP Inertia is an underrated driver. Less stable than a trail, really bomb with an initial left to right drift.”
Has given a Drift to every friend who starts playing: it flies straighter than an Eagle for new players and becomes a great workable disc with more power.
“Streamline Drift is my rec; I've given one to all my friends that start playing. It will fly straiter than an eagle for newbies, and turns into a great workable”
The Saint (Opto or Gold) was the first driver they felt they could control and place, with just enough glide and stability to learn many different shots with one disc.
“SAINT!!!! Opto or Gold Line. Literally the first driver I felt I could control and place where I wanted with just enough glide and stability that I could learn many different shots with the same”
Tried a Westside Bear recently and really liked it, recommending it as an overstable fairway driver.
“I tried a Westside Bear the other day and I really liked it. If you need an overstable fairway driver, that's a good one.”
Finds the Saint Pro very understable and glidey and a different disc from the regular Saint, but would use neither in the wind.
“Saint Pro is VERY understable, and glidey. It's a different disc than the regular Saint for sure, but I would never use either in the wind.”
Throws a 170 g Lucid Vandal as their 9-speed and loves it: lots of glide and dead straight, and once beaten in it becomes a good turnover and roller disc.
“I throw a 170 Lucid Vandal that I absolutely love for my 9 speed. Tons of glide. Dead straight. And when it beats in, it becomes a really good turnover/roller”
Says a Star Thunderbird seems quite overstable at first but breaks in soon; for them it ends up a little too flippy, while their Metal Flake Thunderbird is just fine.
“Just buy a Star Thunderbird. At first, it seems quite over stable, but soon enough it breaks in. For me, it's a little bit too flippy, but my MF Thunderbird is just fine.”
An ESP Undertaker has been good for them: it took a few months of breaking in to get closer to neutral and now holds a nice turnover or hyzer-flip line.
“Esp undertaker has been good for me, took some breaking in to get closer to neutral stability but not more than a few months. Holds a nice turnover or for hyzer flip up lines. DGA”
The only MVP disc they have found that flies like their old Zones is a Proton Entropy from a used bin; other Entropy plastics don't have the overstability or hand feel they like.
“Only mvp disc I have found to fly like my old zones is a Proton Entropy. I got lucky and found a used bin one. Any other plastic entropy or other discs just don’t have”
The TeeBird3 in Champion plastic gives them a perfect, reliable flight with a tiny turn and reliable fade, getting out to about 330–350 ft.
“Teebird3. If I don't need max distance it has a perfect, reliable flight (champ plastic) with tiny turn, reliable fade, and gets out to about 330-350 for me. I don't”
Has tried a lot of drivers but always keeps at least one Sword in the bag, in several plastics and stabilities, because it is so nice and mostly straight.
“Sword, I have tried a lot of drivers, sword is just so nice, and mostly straight, I have a few different plastics/stabilities, always have at least 1 in the”
Has two aces with the Rat and calls it a great disc, but no longer bags it because it overlaps with what they have and is so close to a mid.
“I have 2 Rat aces, and i don’t bag the rat anymore. it’s a great disc, but i just feel like it overlaps a lot with what i have already and is so close to a mid.”
Found the Jet too flippy and traded it to a friend who loves it; it is probably the friend's farthest-flying disc.
“I also found the Jet to be a bit too flippy. Traded it to a friend who loves it and it’s probably his farthest flying disc. Tho he maxes out around 250’.”
Says the special-edition Aspect was very overstable at first but has beaten in quickly, already showing much less dump at the end. Contrasts it with their Control, which they have thrown far more without it changing much.
“The one I really noticed was the Aspect. The SE vat one they just dropped was stupidly OS for me at first, but it has beaten in fairly fast where”
A right-hander who throws thumbers to get around trees on a left-to-right line says the Gladiator is the only disc they have that does it well; everything else they tried doesn't flop over.
“I am right-handed and throw a thumber when I want to get around trees etc on a left to right line. The only disc I have or have thrown that”
After trying a lot of Prodigy since returning to the sport, the only mold that stayed in their bag is a 400 H7. Says it has the same numbers as a Roadrunner but is far more controllable for them, and they only like it in 400 plastic.
“the only mold that has stuck in my bag is a 400 H7. Same numbers as a Roadrunner, but for me it's just way more controllable. I don't care for”
Started out with Prodigy fairways: the F3 was the next step after outgrowing their F5 and is now their hyzer-flip fairway, with an F7 in the very flippy slot. Likes that the discs all feel the same in the hand.
“They get a lot of hate, but I started out with prodigy fairways. F3 was a natural next step once I outgrew my f5. Now it's my hyzer flip fairway”
Recommends the retooled EMac Truth as fitting between a Gator and a Hex, with decent stability without being very overstable. Calls the recent Lucid-X Burst Moonshine run very nice: stable, with enough dome for glide while still allowing forehands.
“For midranges, the retooled EMac Truth from Dynamic would fit right between the Gator and Hex. There are lots of discs that fit there, but the new EMacs are kinda”
When limiting their bag to 9 speeds or under, the Lots and Falk are their go-to distance discs depending on whether they feel better on hyzer or flex that day. Notes some Falks are more neutral and some Lots flippier than others.
“Kastaplast Lots or Falk. Some Falks are more neutral than others and some Lots' are flippier than others, but they both fly great. In any cases when I'm limiting by”
A disc golf shop owner who recommends the Grand Sweep (not the Clear Sweep), saying they keep it very straight up to about 400 ft and that the Grand plastic is straighter than its 9/6/-0.5/2 rating.
“I highly recommend the Lat64 Grand Sweep for this (not the Clear Sweep). I can keep them very as straight up to about 400. They are very impressive and underrated.”
Took an unused 152 g Fission Tesla to a water-heavy course expecting to lose it; it flew dead straight with dependable fade. Calls it easy to throw and easy to hit their line with.
“Thought I'd sacrifice my unused Fission Tesla 152g. It refused to die, dead straight forever with dependable fade. It's a weird Chimera of Fission, light weight and stable/overstable disc but”
Their current control driver is a Swirly S-Line Vanguard: it started out beefy and needed patience to beat in, and now holds its angle to the end on anhyzer, flips to flat on hyzer and gives a small S-turn without an aggressive fade.
“I got a swirly s line discmania vanguard which is my current control driver. It started out beef but you gotta be patient and beat it in. Holds it's angle”
A long-time Crave thrower who tried a Swirly S-Line FD as their straight fairway this season and has been killing it with the disc, calling it their best fairway driver in ages now that it is seasoned.
“But decided to try the Swirly S-line FD for this season as my straight fairway and I've been killing it with the disc. Probably my best fairway driver I've had”
About 15 different mids have passed through their bag, but they couldn't shelve their Opto-Ice Orbit Fuse for even a round. It is perfectly seasoned after almost three years and they no longer lend it to friends.
“There’s probably been 15 different mids through my bag, I even tried putting my Fuse on the shelf but that only lasted for one round lol. Biggest problem is that”
Shelved their Firebird for an Eagle, which gives them enough of an overstable fairway for their power level.
“I’ve shelved my NS Firebird for now in favour of an Eagle, that gives me enough of an overstable fairway for my power level. I didn’t feel like I needed”
Has several mids for longer approaches, but inside 150 ft almost exclusively throws an old, beaten Champion Roc3: they know it and can place its reliable fade most of the time.
“anything inside 150' I almost exclusively lean on the old champ Roc3, I just know it and can place its reliable fade at the right place most of the time...”
Says conditions need to be great for their Tern to fly, though it is fantastic for long turnovers, while their Eveliina swirly Destroyer goes in all conditions.
“The conditions need to be great for my Tern fo fly, it’s fantastic for long turnovers. The Evelina 24 swirly destroyer just goes in all conditions”
Pairs a Halo Mamba with their F5: it drifts right when thrown flat without turning and burning, has become their farthest disc and gets there faster than anything they've seen.
“Halo Mamba is pairing with my F5 currently. It drifts right on flat, but doesn't turn and burn. It's not only become my farthest disc, but it somehow gets there”
Their Eclipse 2.0 Hex is slightly flippy with a straight finish, unlike their straighter ESP Buzzz; they later swapped the Hex out for a Malita.
“versus my Eclipse 2.0 Hex is slightly flippy with a straight finish. I bagged both for a while until I”
Was very happy with the Pilot and Ohm for a few years after moving from a Wizard and Ion that were a hair too deep; also likes the Range's very thin profile and near thumb track.
“Pilot/Ohm are a good recommendation. I was very happy with these for a few years after moving from Wizard/Ion which were always just a hair too deep in the hand.”
Throws an Axiom Proxy for approaches and short tee shots: at full power it flies very straight, and the lower speed makes tree kicks a little more forgiving.
“I throw Axiom Proxy and at full power it flies very straight, and the lower speed makes tree kicks a little more forgiving.”
Spin putts with the original Luna (the Paul McBeth stamp): amazing feel in the hand, a soft texture without being too grippy.
“The original Luna by Discraft. On OTB discs it's labeled Paul McBeth Luna. Amazing feel in the hand, kinda soft plastic texture but not too grippy.”
Was coming up short with a Luna and found a regular Fierce and a Sparkle Glo Fierce in a used bin; enjoys both, using the regular as their main putter and the other as a thrower that holds whatever line they want.
“found a regular Fierce for $6 and a Sparkle Glo for $10. I actually really enjoy both of them. The regular as main putter and the other as a thrower”
Bags an R2 Tempo because they forehand a lot of approaches and it handles any angle with a great flight.
“R2 Tempo. Mainly as I forehand a lot of approaches and its handles any angle, with a great flight. Most Tinarse disc I own”
Uses a Range under 175 ft, a Pure for anything up to 250 ft and a Tempo when they need more stability.
“Range for anything under 175’ Pure for anything up to 250’ Tempo for anything that requires more stability.”
Found the Fox too flippy in every plastic, but a Halo Arachnid has been perfect.
“If you haven’t yet try an Arachnid. I found the fox too flippy in all plastics but the arachnid in halo has been perfect”
The Kaxe is the stable mid they always come back to, bagging a pre-retool K1 and a post-retool K3 in slightly different slots; the same goes for the Reko as their putter.
“Kaxe is the stable mid I always come back to. I bag a pre-retool K1 and a post-retool k3. Slightly different slots. Same with the Reko in the putter slot.”
Has a 400-plastic F9 that is very domey, loves to hold a slight anhyzer and is easy to roll.
“No but I have a 400 F9 that is super domey and loves to hold slight anhyzer, and it's dead easy to”
Really likes this year's Emily Weatherman Tour Series Fox, which fits their slot well, works backhand and forehand and goes a consistent distance.
“I really like the Emily Weatherman tour series Fox from this year. Fits this spot for me really well. Works well for BH and FH.”
